Welcome to Brown Dermatology. One of the main strengths of the Brown Dermatology Program is that we provide excellent training in all aspects of dermatology. We have rotations at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, multiple specialty clinics, a busy consultative service, cosmetics clinics, dermatopathology training with two dermatology trained dermatopathologists, and a robust surgical and Mohs experience. Our mission is to develop dermatologists who advance the profession through a culture of integrity, service, innovation, and leadership to create a lasting impact on patients, communities, and medicine and our core values are curiosity, innovation, service, clinical excellence, stewardship, integrity, and collaboration.

Of all our strengths, the collegiality of the members of our department stands out. From residents to attendings, to nurses and staff, we have an exceptionally warm and collaborative environment. It really does feel like a family to me. We are also committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We reiterate the recent statement from the American Academy of Dermatology that, “recent events in our country and communities have underscored the continued persistent racial inequities and systemic racism that disproportionately affect our Black colleagues, trainees, patients, and communities.” We must do better.
