Welcome to Brown Dermatology. One of the main strengths of the Brown Dermatology Program is that we provide excellent training in all aspects of dermatology. We have rotations at Hasbro Children’s Hospital, multiple specialty clinics, a busy consultative service, cosmetics clinics, dermatopathology training with three dermatology trained dermatopathologists, and a robust surgical and Mohs experience. Our goal is to make you a well-rounded, clinically strong medical dermatologist, confident in all aspects of our field.

Of all our strengths, the collegiality of the members of our department stands out. From residents to attendings, to nurses and staff, we have an exceptionally warm and collaborative environment. It really does feel like a family to me. We are also committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We reiterate the recent statement from the American Academy of Dermatology that, “recent events in our country and communities have underscored the continued persistent racial inequities and systemic racism that disproportionately affect our Black colleagues, trainees, patients, and communities.” We must do better.
